Suzhou Bay Grand Theatre(Moon Bay - Wujiang)

One of Greater Suzhou's major performing arts venues, forming part of the striking Suzhou Bay Cultural Centre on the shore of East Taihu Lake. The theatre has increasingly become a destination for productions significant enough to justify the trip from central Suzhou.

International highlights have included Matthew Bourne's celebrated all-male Swan Lake, the original French productions of Romeo and Juliet and The Red and the Black, and The Phantom of the Opera. In October 2026, it will also host the original musical SIX for an extended Suzhou run.

The wider programme covers musicals, drama, ballet and dance, opera, concerts and touring productions. In 2025 it also featured artists including Richard Clayderman.
